- Paper Bag Containers
Paper bags are everywhere. Various shops use them in packaging their products, and people who are always on-the-go choose them over wrapping papers to package gifts. Find some of these cheap containers to do this first craft. Also, get a pair of scissors, glue, some scrap papers, and old magazines.
Go ahead and cut the paper bag into your desired size. Consider the size of the things that you are to put inside them such as notebooks, journal and books. You can also secure your school files or office files on your personalized containers. After achieving your desired size, cut a small slit on all four edges so that you may fold each side. Fold them inwards and secure them with glue.
Finally, cover the paper bag with colored papers. Use your creativity to create patterns and designs. We suggest that you find interesting words on old magazines, cut them out and stick them on the outer part of your container. You can also add sequence, beads and glitters to make it more eye-catching.
- Reversed Picture Frame
For this one, you need an old cardboard box and some clothespins. We prefer wooden clothespins for rustic elegance. You will need hot glue, as well. Start by drawing a pattern on your cardboard. Your pattern depends on your desired shape for your picture frame. You can opt for circular, rectangular, or irregular shapes. Make a smaller duplicate inside the first one to create the frame.
After cutting the cardboard, stick your clothespins around your created frame. You can paint it with acrylic paints if you want it to be colorful. You can attach a yarn on top of your frame to be able to hang it, or you can just add an adhesive on the back to stick it on your wall.
Pin your pictures on each of the clothespins, and your unique reversed picture frame is completed.
- Inspiration Board
Find two cardboards – one will be your main board and the other one will act as the border. All you have to do is cut the cardboards into your desired form. With the use of hot glue, attach the border on the main board then nail the finished product on your room’s wall. It is best to put it above your desk where you can easily reach it
You can paint the border with acrylic paints or cover it with colored papers, washi tapes and magazine spreads. On the main board, you can add post it notes, printed motivational quotes and pictures.
- Motivational Quotes Gallery
This is the easiest of the bunch. Just gather inspirational photos, print-out quotes, and quotations from magazines or old books. Stick all that gathered on one wall of your room. We recommend the space above your headboard. Arrange them accordingly; for example, form them into a huge heart or your initial. You can also just scatter them around to create an abstract effect.
- Pencil and Tools Holder
This last room decoration inspiration is not only attractive, it is also useful. Pencil and tools holder is the best accessory for your desk. All you need is a mason jar and a bunch of yarns. With the help of a glue gun and glue sticks, attach the colored yarns on the outer surface of the jar. Once the jar is fully covered, it is your choice to keep it that way or decorate it further with beads and stones.Tags: DIY Home Decor Ideas, Home Decor Ideas, Room Decoration Inspirations
